The menu for today’s mukbang is Samyang ramen with Gimjang kimchi (kimchi that has just been made). Ramen is a go-to meal you crave when you feel hungry, but you don’t want to cook, at the same time you want to eat something savory, but can’t think of a specific menu. Samyang ramen which has a rich taste of ham has been there for a long time and the original taste is the best. Samyang ramen uses potato starch for the noodle, which gives that chewy texture, the flakes with increased amount of hams and the powder soup, they make up a good combination. These days, lots of other ingredients are put in ramen, but today I really want to taste that original flavor. So, I won’t put anything else but just a little bit of green onion at the end. The original flavor tasted so good to me because it reminded me of the ramen we used to eat back when we were young. The soup definitely tasted deep. It’s a ramen that is neither sharp to the taste buds, nor hot and spicy. If you eat this ramen with Gimjang kimchi, it tastes better than almost any other dish. Gimjang kimchi definitely goes well with plain white rice, but it is even better with ramen. Kimchi has that refreshing taste and because of that I always eat ramen with kimchi. Winter is the season for Gimjang (Preparation of kimchi for the whole winter) and we are lucky enough to eat ramen with Gimjang kimchi. If anyone has Gimjang kimchi at your home, you must definitely go give it a try.
It is super good.
