90 Calorie Frappuccino Vs. 410 Calorie Frappuccino

90 Calorie Frappuccino Vs. 410 Calorie Frappuccino

I understand why people order these I want them all the time But then I know that it’s just going to turn to bubbling fat with my slow metabolism, and then I’m going to have to exercise So much the next week Howdy! Hey everyone welcome back to my channel and today We’re going to get Starbucks really mad at me, probably, and ruin all my brands deal with them. So, today we are going to be comparing a regular Starbucks frappuccino to a lower calorie version; actually one that I kind of just Pulled out of my butt and invented and I think it actually worked! I love frappuccinos! I live for frappuccinos I was personally a strawberries and cream gal But you know they pack a lot of sugar and… as you see all of these new ones popping up like unicorn and S’mores and Dragon there’s probably going to be like a poop emoji one coming up soon they keep getting like higher and higher in sugar, and it’s like where is all of this added sugar coming from? and ideally for someone like me umm…You’re supposed to have 67 grams of sugar total a day and one Grande Frappuccino will typically clock in at around 61 to 66 grams and then when you’re getting into something Like the really decadent, sweet ones, that can be upwards of 80 grams of sugar. Now, I’m not saying that you can’t ever have these again; that you should never drink one. All I’m saying is that these are great for moderation and if you’re craving one? You can probably make one for a lot less calories and a lot less added sugar on your own. first of all we’re going to be putting up the Grande Mocha Frappuccino from Starbucks, I’ll begin the Candy homemade Frappuccino, I tried to think of a cool name reverse chino, but I got Candy chino where do the candy chino versus the frappuccino the Candy Chino is made of almond milk ice coffee cocoa Powder Stevia a little bit of enlightened hot cocoa ice cream and Half a banana So it’s really that not that many calories, and I really hope it tastes good I mean, that’s what I would think a mocha would be made out of but this thing clocks in at under 100 calories and 9 grams of sugar let’s look at the Mocha Frappuccino a Grande Mocha Frappuccino has 410 calories 66 grams of Sugar and it’s 45% of your daily saturated fat 23 percent of your total fat So you know that’s a lot taken, and there’s just so much added sugar in it I don’t know where it comes from I’m guessing. It’s the syrup. Let’s not be totally white here candace. I used to slay all the men with my cute little Uniform skirt from school sipping on my frappuccino, and then I got in my 20s and gained 30 pounds I’m going to be testing them out today and see if I actually might have correct the code here let’s start with the Frappuccino So you know it’s pretty hefty. I don’t know why this has to do with a taste test, but oh Ahaha, yo, Gabba Gabba. This is Very sweet very good. I can taste the coffee notes. I can taste the chocolate but There’s really a distinct Syrupy taste to it so I can tell that there is a lot of sugar this brings me back to my childhood where I was Dumped in the school parking lot in high school, and it lived off of these for like three weeks crying every day anyway these um taste pretty good um is it My whole day’s worth of sugar? Mmm. I don’t know So let’s move on to what I took what I conjured up in my kitchen I honestly I’m actually very proud of myself for what I did I used a base recipe which I’ll put down below and then I kind of adapted to it adding a little bit of the enlightened ice cream which gave it a Creamier look to it more like a frappuccino and not just coffee and ice this is what they look like together Not bad let’s try out the candy chino. Maybe I should trade mark this and sell it for overpriced Also, let’s talk about the price okay, so this one of these bad boys is almost 5 bucks which is more than my allotted lunch money a day and This would probably clock in a lot cheaper because I just threw it together in my kitchen out of things that I already had okay wait I’m I’m very proud of myself right now This tastes really good With a little tart-er like Dark chocolate you know Just a little dark and mysterious 9 grams of sugar 66 Grams of Sugar 9 grams of sugar 66 grams of sugar Almost 50% of your daily saturated fat not even near that amount You should try this I want you to try this at home because I want to know if I’m just full of myself or if I actually made a good Copycat skinny product. I guess the main Takeaway here Is that I just want you guys to know that you don’t have to give up things you love if you want to get into a healthier lifestyle if you look at these two things they Almost taste exactly the same and one has 1/3 1/4 of amount of Calories and 1/6 no Barely any sugar, and it’s all natural sugar. now I know I don’t really like using artificial sweeteners because I know that there are some studies that it tricks your body into Thinking you’re consuming sugar which can actually have you crave it more But I kind of made the exception with Stevia, and if this isn’t a daily thing It’s totally a great substitution. Let me know what you guys want me to compare next and make some dupes for Proud candy day for me. I think it’s a dupe. I think it’s a skinny dupe. 1. hey guys!! if you freeze the almond milk / coconut milk in an ice cube tray and then blend… you get the right consistency!

    2 tbsp vanilla protein powder
    5 coconut milk ice cubes
    1 cup of almond milk

    optional flavourings:

    1/2 tsp instant coffee
    2 tsp raw cocoa powder
    handful fresh / frozen strawberries
    handful fresh / frozen mango
    1/2 frozen banana
    2 tbsp nut butter
1 sachet of acai / pitaya
    1 tsp matcha tea powder
few drops of orange / almond / coffee / rose / vanilla essence… (or any flavour you can dream of really!)

    E voilà!!

  2. You can even touch it up with that sugar-free chocolate syrup that you can buy pretty much anywhere nowadays.

  3. If you use frozen banana and extra cocoa/cacao, then you can eliminate the ice cream and make it completely vegan and healthier. 😊

  4. thanks for your video, my mom sells full cream icecream in her parlour and now i have a reason to try a healthy chino recipe awesome
upload more healthy salad and smoothie videos!

  5. Double chocolate my chip. I have a dupe but it's not completely right. Or the chai frap. Or peach green tea lemonade

  6. you should try a strawberries and cream with frozen strawberries and vanilla (coconut milk, no sugar added) ice cream or enlightened ice cream

  7. Please stop, drinking one frap will not make you fat. Sugar is not an enemy, honestly, eating more calories than you need is what makes people gain weight.

  8. My usual morning coffee is milk, instant coffee granules, ice, and sugar. It's usually 1:3 coffee to sugar because I'm a wimp, but sometimes I do 1:2 if I'm tired.

  9. Haha, growing up my dad used to make these for us at home all the time. My family were firm believers that starbucks is a ripoff. Now I can't stand how sweet starbucks is.

  10. Typically girl you're not even supposed too have that per week lol! Sugar is bad for everyone. I can't have almost any. I feel you there. so even a few grams a day is about all my body can deal with. Ideally NONE

  11. I've been watching a whole bunch of your videos! I've been trying to eat healthier, but it can be hard. I started with switching my breakfasts from pop tarts to fruit or toast, and eating salads a few times a week. I love how you emphasize that you don't have to give these things up. I've ate healthy all day & im about to get some Taco Bell & have no regrets 😂

  12. Most of the calories come from the frappuccino coffee/creme base. If you want to cut the calories in half just ask for a "lite" version of whatever frappuccino you want. We use the lite base which like I said, has only about half the calories of the normal ones and the taste difference is almost negligible. That being said, you can definitely just make your own version at home for even less calories. This is just a good option if you can't make your own. ☺️

  13. ok i went to starbuck twice in my life for drink , i usually go for their cinnamon rolls but can u make a dupe for the caramel cold ice cream drink? idk the name but it's cold like ice, ad looks like ice cream & it has caramel drizzle in it it's sooooo goood :)♥

  14. Actually exercise doesn't do much to help you lose weight. Diet it probably 80% of weight loss. But exercise is still important. No excuses 😉

  15. let's be real tho when i'm running on 2 hours of sleep i will take all of the sugar and caffeine i can get no matter the consequences

  16. Ok I subscribed, cause I'm starting to be really healthy, like I want to be serious about this, I hate my procrastination all the time and not seeing real result so I start cutting the things that are bad for me like rice, white bread and drink more water and keeping myself moving as much as I can. Loved your substitution for unhealthy frap. .

  17. I so dislike you Americans with all of your millions and millions of stupid plastic containers!!!!!!! ( absolutely NOT hating americans in general but setting that stupid 'trend')

  18. I use to like frappes but now it's not sweet enough for me 🙈 So now I go to local coffee shops and get a chocolate espresso shake with extra chocolate… God help me

  19. I tried your Candycchino and it is so yummy Candace!!!! I love it, so yummy!! I have also been using your workout and want to say thank you!! You are inspiring and make the best candycchinos ever!! I am so glad I tried it…YUM!!! 🙂

  20. I work at Starbucks, and the thing that makes the fraps sweet is the base (which also stops it from separating). If you wanted to lower the calories and sweetener I would suggest (for a venti) getting a frappucino light and doing milk to the second line, a grande scoop of ice and only 1 pump of base. 🙂

  21. I make the healthy ones all the time with frozen banana instead of ice and no, it doesn't taste like Starbucks but they're delicious! Love you Candace!

  22. Can you ride this it funny you cant not ride it so look what dons it say I no bgngfwejggggjfchfxhmk.hdhgjhfkhgghfj, hagfish, hgghfgdhgfggbffghffdvdfv see you cant ride it haha becas you ugly as heck

  23. You should make a choconana shake! A ripe banana, some cocoa powder and milk. The banana adds the sweetness and the thickness, it's so yummy.

  24. I'm a barista and over here we have 'light' (or 'diet') frappuccino's that are made with non-fat milk and sugar-free syrups. I'm guessing they should have those in America as well.

  25. Where I'm from we do not have Enlightened or Halo Top Ice cream, I tried using Justin's hazelnut chocolate butter as a substitute and it ended up being a bit too watery, it tasted good though. Suggestions on any other substitute I could use to still get that creaminess but keep it low-cal?

  26. i used to always get a frap, but now i just get green tea. still, i never knew it contained that much sugar?!?!? like holy crap, just thinking about all the fat i gained from that factor alone gives me the chills lol

  27. can you make a dupe for a coconut milk mocha macchiato? That is hands down my favorite starbucks drink and id love to see it in a healthier version

  28. I think that companies like Starbucks often engineer products to have more sugar than needed for good taste. They use longer brewed coffee to hide the sweet taste, sirups with acids to hide the ultra high amount of sugar from your taste buds. They just want to get addicted to the product and its sugar contents.

Just use a good quality coffee (arabica beans are less bitter), brew it in a Mocca machine or in a proper espresso machine and you won't need even remotely 66g of sugar to make it a sweet bliss to drink. Hell, high quality coffee, brewed properly is not really bitter at all, so you could get along fine with just a tiny spill of milk in it. Starbucks is a horrible company like all big food producers, that don't care how they ruin their customers health. Just like Nestle. Horrible, all of them.

  29. The 9 grams of sugar in your drink are good sugars. The 64 grams in that frappuccino is GMO high fructose corn syrup garbage.

  30. just tried it and mine came out bad but that's probably on me cause i'm not the best chef hahaha. but make one for double chocolate chip frap !! i wanna try that even tho i'll fail hahahha

  31. This is bloody AH MAZING… THANK you fro sharing that message… I am a wellness practitioner and specialize in tonic elixirs with ancient chinese herbs.. i up level the latte daily for clients 🙂 and this could not be more true! You can TOTALLY do it MUCH healthier and cheaper! good on you for doing this! xxx you can check me out @prabhuandpine if you want recipes to inspire you! and my new square space blog site will be up this week! www.kerryford.co xxx

  32. You should definitely make things at home when you can, but if you're treating yourself with Starbucks just stay away from frappuccinos. The sugar comes from the base that holds the frappuccino together, so all of them will have a ton of sugar. Instead, just order an iced drink (iced mocha, iced vanilla latte, etc). Better flavor, less terribleness.

  33. Girl you are hilarious! I will definitely try this recipe you "pulled out of your butt" haha!! Will just switch stevia for agave syrup, I think it tastes so much better 🙂
Thanks for your very helpful yet always so funny videos!

  34. Lol, am I the only one that never goes to starbucks ?.. ( The closest one is like more than 1h away from where I live + there aren't many starbucks in my country, what I know there's 2 )

  35. Lol! Just found your channel and when you said “Yo Gabba Gabba” you had me hooked! Glad I found your channel!

  36. The recipe I use :
    Ice cubes
    ( 200 ml ) coffee
( 400 ml ) hemp seeds and cashew milk ( I throw some hemps seeds and cashews in a blender then add water and BOOM ~> plant based milk)
I also add 1 tsp of maple or agave syrup . ( 230 calories )
    16 g of fat
    8 g of protein
And 6 g of sugar ( 5g come from the syrup)

  37. Love you. Love the channel, but I thought this was going to be something you could buy at Starbucks. I don’t mind a homemade dupe though, but I would love to see you give a top 5 concoctions already available at Starbucks. I mean the nutritional info is all there, but I would also love to know what each item actually tastes like.

  38. Does anyone have recipe for CHAI TEA frap? It's been ONLY frap I LOVE. Help, please!! (No carb, or far les carb)….. 👍👍👍👍
