Eggless Whole Wheat Jaggery Cake | Wheat Cake Recipe | Atta Cake Recipes by Healthy Kadai

Whole Wheat – 2 cups (1 cup=200 gms) Refined oil – ¾ cup Curd – 1 cup Jaggery/ shakar – 1 cup (quantity can be increased to 1.5 cups also) Cinnamon powder – a pinch (quantity can be increased to ½ tsp also) Nuts (walnuts, almonds etc) – 2 tsp Baking soda – 1.5 tsp Baking powder – ½ tsp Mix all dry ingredients in a bowl – Whole wheat, baking soda and powder, cinnamon powder. In separate bowl, add oil, curd. Melt jaggery in microwave for 30 sec and add into the mixture to form a smooth puree. Add both dry and wet ingredients to form a nice batter. Add little milk, if batter gets too thick. Grease a baking dish and pour the cake batter in it. Sprinkle some crushed nuts on top of the batter. Air bake the cake in preheated airfryer at 160 degrees for 20 min. Once baked check with tooth pick. Once ready remove the cake from the airfryer and allow it to cool down. Once cool, cut into desired pcs and serve.

  1. Hi I tried this cake today. It's my first ever cake attempt infact. Don't know what went wrong. Cake is getting cooked on top very well but it's still raw inside when i checked. I took same measurements as you same settings i put on airfryer, infact i kept it for more 10 mins on 160 still its raw. Now i have increased the time again for 10mis. Lets see. 😞

  6. Today I made whole wheat jaggery cake, wn cake batter was ready I felt it was bit thick n added a tbsp of milk n baked it the cake tasted very good bt remained raw from inside I mean it's half baked n half raw, (baked it totally for 40 min ) at 180 degree . What might hv went wrong

  7. Tried this and it turned out beautifully…very spongy tasty cake…added a lil water to make it one string consistency…because it was too dry…worked well…made it in a microwave at 180 for half an hour and then put a foil on top and on 200 for 15-20 mins more…perfectly cooked

  9. Thank you for the recipe ma'am. I gave it a try. It turned out so tasty. I really love cakes but it's not healthy to eat maida and sugar ones. Just perfect and my mom loved it. Whenever I prepare a new dish I ask my mom to tell the ingredients while having it. She was all wrong in guessing the ingredients for this recipe. And yeah, I baked it in an oven at 200°C for 20minutes.

    The best part is that it is so filling. While eating the normal homemade cakes with plain flour and sugar, each of us eat atleast 5-6 pieces at once. But this filled our tummies by just eating a single piece. This is one great alternative for our family.

  10. Hi.. The cake batter became to thick.. Tried adding little milk to adjust constituency but still no much difference in batter.. Still baked it… Turned out well but had cracks on top.. Please help me to correct it

  14. I made this exactly the way you showed, except that made it an oven. Preheated and baked for 30mins.
    Super soft and fluffy. But…. Tastes like sweet chapati finally! Cinnamon or vanila has to be added a lil extra is what I'm guessing.

    Any inputs?

Hey I haven't tried this before, in fact I had never even heard of wheat cakes and honestly thought it was going to be gross looking.. like a fruit cake ,most people always say the hate fruit cake but despite that millions are still being made and sold during the holidays, so I kind of thought this would be something like that .. but I'll admit that I was dead wrong, this does look very delicious and even better since you said it's very healthy, which most cakes are not at all, in fact just the opposite,so yah thanks for making the vid I watched it all the way through and now I'm really excited to make one for myself and I love cooking, it is very calm and relaxing to me and Indian food is one of my favorites but honestly I haven't really cooked much of any of it ,in fact I done think I've made even one Indian meal.. which is kind of strange because like I said I love it.does your channel have a lot more Indian recipes and is wheat cake even an Indian food or did you just decide to make it?Either way I'm gonna make it ,but sm just curious as to what country this cake is from?
